A Value on Intellectual Property is much more than you think

The intellectual property (including but not limited to, trademark, trade name, trade secret, copyright, patent, geographical indication, domain name) is also considered as a property right pursuant to Section 138 of the Civil and Commercial Code, as well as an economic right which can be appraised in monetary value and transferred from one holder to another.


The Intellectual Property is an incorporeal object which can be recorded under the Accounting Standard as an “Intangible Asset”. Also, the Intellectual Property can be used as collateral under the Secured Transaction Act.
